At Home Office, our Operations Teams purchases the best supplies and then manufactures and distributes great food and cookware products through our Consultant network. 

The Sales and Marketing department guides the Consultants to success by creating and providing promotional material, training, catalogues, recipes, recognition events, and call center support.  Our Innovation, Research + Development Team creates new products and continually fine tunes our formulas for maximum taste and quality. 

Our innovative Technology Team is focused to enhance and upgrade our systems and processes for ease of operation, communication and reporting.

Our Finance and Support Teams ensures that the “beans” are counted properly and we are poised to support both our Home Team Members and our Consultants in the best way possible.

Sales Initiative Manager

Recipe Developer and Content Specialist 

Are you obsessed with food?  Do you love to cook, create, and develop recipes that are not only delicious but also healthy?  We are actively looking for a Recipe Developer and Content Specialist who answered yes to the above.  The successful candidate will be a healthy living enthusiast who has both experience and passion for cooking quick, easy and healthy meals.  You have a passion for social media and will be responsible for creating and uploading digital content that will excite our customers. 

Sourcing Specialist 

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Sourcing Specialist is responsible for developing and managing supplier relationships to ensure positive working relationships and effective delivery of contracted products and services.

As well, you will evaluate supplier performance, including quality, cost, supply, capacities, systems and responsiveness as per on-going business management of the products, leases, licenses and/or services contracted by the suppliers – in addition to ensuring portfolio related services are delivered in a timely manner, meeting objectives and quality expectations.

Online Community Coordinator

Epicure is looking for a dynamic independent person to serve as our Online Community Coordinator. This critical role will support our Epicure community by moderating several active online groups. The right person for this role is both a planner and a doer, and someone who can thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial team.

Payroll Clerk

The Payroll Clerk is responsible for the maintenance of payroll services for most of Epicure’s hourly and salaried employees in various provinces.  This includes performing bookkeeping functions for payroll, benefits, bonuses, vacation, and employee expenses.  The role works collaboratively with Human Resources and People Managers to ensure accurate information is received and processed in accordance with Provincial legislation. 

Warehouse Team Member (Forklift Driver) - afternoon shift

Epicure is actively looking for a Warehouse Team Member who is able to work with limited supervision during the afternoon shift of 2:30pm – 11:00pm.  Under the supervision of the Supervisor, the Warehouse Team Member is responsible for the safe operation of warehouse material handling equipment for the purpose of receiving, transporting, storing, unloading, locating, relocating, stacking, staging and counting merchandise.  The Warehouse Team member has the overall responsibility to receive, maintain and organize all goods and inventory in our warehouses.

As a BCER, you love to help people find positive solutions by providing them with viable options. Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer all incoming inquiries from our Consultants and customers through phone, chat and email support and follow-up in a professional manner in English and French

  • Process orders for missing or damaged product
  • Be of service by providing information on Epicure promotions, sales, incentives, and other important changes so you can provide the best service required by Consultants
  • Understand and communicate Epicure’s policies to our Consultants

  • Process internal product orders for Home Team members and departments
  • Work in alignment with departmental processes in the execution of your duties according to the priorities of the day

Education & Experience:

  • Experience in customer service, hospitality or call center environments in a fast paced, high growth company preferred
  • Familiarity with the Direct Selling industry is a plus

  • Outbound sales call center experience is an asset

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports our customer RFQ process by serving as the point of contact for populating RFQ templates with price, MOQ, EOQ and volume assumptions. Ensures cost component models are received for commodity based materials.
  • Partners closely with procurement leaders, ensuring purchasing needs are met when negotiating terms with suppliers.
  • Drafts accurate Requests for Information and RFP's in accordance with RFI's policies and procedures.
  • Analyzes bids and proposals for content and price, negotiates contract terms and recommends supplier award.
  • Ensures all bids clearly identify expectations that support compliance with all food regulatory bodies, including FSMA.
  • Tracks all key dates related to supply and rate agreements and reports needed areas of attention.
  • Provides visibility to and maintains a sourcing calendar that identifies new bid timing by spend pool.
  • Researches and interprets contract provisions, including contract processes, penalties and compliance terms.
  • Ensures that the deliverable goods and services meet RFI needs and requirements by assisting the requesting department with development of specifications and scope of work.
  • Resolves all contract discrepancies.
  • Generates accurate and timely reports and drafts agenda items for management and other stakeholders
  • Provides continuous effort to improve procurement operations, streamline work processes and work cooperatively and jointly with others to provide quality customer service.
  • Maintain strong working relationships and communications directly with suppliers.
  • Monitors contract balances to ensure that RFI follows the contract terms.
  • Ensure that all goods and services are acquired in accordance with RFI’s current purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Develop SOP in accordance with internal controls, as defined by Corporate Controller.

Key Education and Expereince:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of applicable experience with progressive responsibilities in a food manufacturing environment with experience in purchasing and/or sourcing.
  • Good working knowledge and experience with MRP/ERP systems is essential.
  • APICS; CPM/CPIM /CSCP a plus.
  • Knowledge of current supply chain management techniques and processes in the food production industry.
  • Strong planning, organizational, analytical, communication, and networking skills are required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
  • Laser focus on execution (end to end) applying relentless rigor.
  • Problem solving and decision-making capabilities; strong analytical skills.

Sales Initiative Manager

  • Administration of Sales Plan, Incentives and Key Sales initiatives
  • Management of Monthly Sales Internal Calendar
  • Monthly promotional planning administration for systemization of incentives and promotions
  • Promotion Output sheets for each incentive, recognition & training and engage key stakeholders to ensure successful execution (accurate, timely, engaging)
  • Documentation of all processes and procedures associated with recognition management
  • Budget Management & reporting
  • To help create, execute and track all consultant incentives
  • Work with Mar/Comms/Creative to ensure incentives are marketed and spotlighted

Training:

  • Implements leadership and executive development programs
  • Bootcamp
  • Implements programs to assist Consultants with transitions and change
  • Development of FAQs for key initiatives
  • Contracts with vendors for event education and Consultant participation in outside education programs
  • Keeps education materials and tools up to date
  • Works in collaboration with other members of the organization, to revise and maintain relevant education materials, resources and Consultant tools.
  • Maintains current knowledge of instructional technologies by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
  • Insight – support the evaluation and effectiveness of programs and tools through the measurement of key business performance indicators and amends and revises programs as necessary.
  • Track consultants’ achievements on weekly, monthly and annual basis (promotion within the career path)
  • Oversee execution of monthly recognition email, Podium, provide information updates, play role in proofing, photo selection
  • Coordinate congratulation calls, mail and email send outs
  • Providing mail out recognition list to Events Manager for send out
  • Coordinate text for CEO congratulations card
  • Overseeing recognition supply inventory/orders
  • Document all processes and procedures associated with recognition coordination
  • Coordination of timely, efficient and accurate delivery of recognition to Consultants across Canada social media, FB groups, Dishing and Podium
  • Provide recommendations for testimonials
  • Coordinate and execute individual interviews with consultants to be featured in Dishing, Podium, online (epicure.com) catalogue and social media
  • Ensure monthly update of online (epicure.com) testimonials
  • Researching/Sourcing recognition ideas/items
  • Track and manage Recognition Budget 
  • Creating photo montage - incentive trip/events to be sent out (electronically) to achievers as recognition
  • Oversee all recognition at events (set up for stage, registration and giveaways, room drop for Director and above etc.)

Communications:

  • Provide recommendations for testimonial features across key communication channels
  • Identify and provide guidance on key sales (incentives, training, recognition, messaging) content for inclusion
  • Provide testimonials for inclusion
  • Provide content and/or guidance for communications driven by sales, for example events, meeting reminders, trip information
  • Photo researches, organization, selection
  • Review and update all consultant forms quarterly
  • Complete annual field survey
  • Ensure up to date FAQs (PDF) for events, programs, incentives
  • Manage call/zoom/FB live set-up for the sales team

Podium:

  • Oversee completion of monthly Podium e-mail (Manager & VP are final sign-off)
  • Identify and provide guidance on key sales (incentives, training, recognition, messaging) content for inclusion
  • Provide guidance on which testimonials should be featured, articles, recognition highlights, incentive trip announcements and photo selection
  • Act as key proofer to ensure accuracy of recognition and content
  • Work with Marketing/creative team to identify content and strategy for communication content

Events Contribution:

  • Assistance during National Conference events planning/execution
  • Recognition coordination
  • Recognition item sourcing and purchase
  • Assistance with registration/recognition (ribbons)
  • Tracking list of achievers for visual presentation and Master script
  • Participation in planning meeting (via Skype)
  • Assistance with the execution of the event

Field P & P:

  • Oversee bi-monthly P & P meetings
  • Track and compile all changes and new p & p
  • Make changes in coordination with CE supervisor to P & P document

 Consultant Sales Aids/Supplies:

  • Oversee and monitor supplies-ensure adequate stock-including samples at all times
  • Come up with new ideas for supplies

Skills & Experience:

  • Direct Sales experience is an asset

Payroll Clerk

The Payroll Clerk is responsible for the maintenance of payroll services for most of Epicure’s hourly and salaried employees in various provinces.  This includes performing bookkeeping functions for payroll, benefits, bonuses, vacation, and employee expenses.  The role works collaboratively with Human Resources and People Managers to ensure accurate information is received and processed in accordance with Provincial legislation. 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Input all new employees into the Payroll system and ensure all employee records are accurate
  • Process payroll for hourly and salary employees on a biweekly basis
  • Ensure accurate daily processing of hourly time management system
  • Input Change of Status (COS) form information and ensure accuracy and adherence to Provincial legislation
  • Be the point of contact to employees regarding payroll inquiries
  • Preparing and participating in month end, quarter end, and year end reporting
  • Issue bonus, retroactive and severance payments along with vacation payouts
  • Provide informati0n and support internal and external auditors for annual review
  • Respond to all internal and external information requests respecting all payroll related matters
  • Complete termination process and provide terminated employees with a Record of Employment
  • Assist with daily, weekly and monthly data entry and reconciliation tasks within the Finance department
  • Perform other finance functions as directed by the Finance Manager

Education and Experience:

  • Completion of post-secondary accounting or business education, preferably with an emphasis on payroll 
  • 2 years of experience in payroll for 50+ employees
  • Knowledge of Provincial and Federal legislation
  • Strong analytical, attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Enthusiasm for compiling and building reports, keeping things organized and anticipating what is required next
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel
  • Ability to multi-task effectively, including the ability to prioritize tasks,
  • Superior interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills,
  • Ability remain professional in challenging situations

Warehouse Team Member (Forklift Driver) - afternoon shift

Epicure is actively looking for a Warehouse Team Member who is able to work with limited supervision during the afternoon shift of 2:30pm – 11:00pm.  Under the supervision of the Supervisor, the Warehouse Team Member is responsible for the safe operation of warehouse material handling equipment for the purpose of receiving, transporting, storing, unloading, locating, relocating, stacking, staging and counting merchandise.  The Warehouse Team member has the overall responsibility to receive, maintain and organize all goods and inventory in our warehouses.

Responsibilities: 

  • Receiving inventory (shared responsibility) - check product being received with description and quantity ordered on purchase orders and packing slips recording all shortages, overages or damaged products.
  • Complete required paperwork and distribute on a daily basis.
  • Inspect for and ensure damaged goods are reported on carrier waybills to facilitate the claims process.
  • Responsible for transportation of freight from the dock area to the proper storage area in a safe and timely manner. Prepare and affix pallet tags. Efficiently stack and store all incoming merchandise in the appropriate areas or deliver to designated department or individual.
  • Prepare, pull and/or stage raw materials, containers and products for shipping and production areas.
  • Responsible for the safe operation of warehouse material handling equipment for the purpose of receiving, transporting, storing, unloading, locating, relocating, stacking and counting merchandise.
  • Ensure efficient and timely loading of shipping trailers.
  • Operate forklift, power jack and any other warehouse material handling equipment in compliance with Epicure SOPs (Standard Operating Practices).
  • Maintain effective communication with all required departments to ensure an efficient workflow process.
  • Assist with physical inventory count which may occur on a weekend or statutory holiday.

Education and Experience: 

  • 1 year of experience working in a warehouse
  • Experience driving a forklift an asset
  • Knowledge of driving, stocking and replenishing stock
  • Experience in maneuvering material, handling equipment in difficult situations such as heavy traffic, crowded conditions, wet, slippery and uneven floors and at high heights
  • General understanding of inventory management systems (training will be provided)
  • Ability to perform basic tasks on a computer terminal
  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations with the ability to handle paperwork documentation related to job functions
  • Ability to lift, push, pull and slide heavy weights up to 30 kg.
  • Ability to stand, sit or stoop for long periods of time
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to show initiative and work with limited supervision in a team environment
